Fenerbahce target Nuri Sahin to leave Werder Bremen

Nuri Sahin, a 52-cap Turkish international, could be about to play in Turkey’s Süper Lig for the first time.

The Werder Bremen midfielder is out of contract in June, and according to Kicker, citing Turkish sources, he will leave.

An official announcement is still pending, but the 31-year-old will end his two year spell with Die Werderaner.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce are reported to be the club Sahin is most likely to join this summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Liverpool man has struggled with injuries and a hip problem means he won’t play again this season.

Since joining Werder from BVB in 2018, Sahin has made 36 Bundesliga appearances, scoring one goal.
