Arsenal in pole position to sign PSG’s Layvin Kurzawa

Arsenal are in ‘pole position’ to sign Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa, Sunday’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Kurzawa is out of contract at PSG in June and is moving closer towards an exit from Parc des Princes.

A €23m signing from Monaco in 2015, 27-year-old Kurzawa has reportedly not been offered a contract extension by the Parisiens.

His availability, on a free transfer no less, has alerted a host of clubs around Europe.

Serie A club Inter have an interest in him and another PSG full-back on the way out, Thomas Meunier.

Meunier is likely to join Tottenham or Borussia Dortmund, however Arsenal are the closest to signing Kurzawa, Gazzetta claims.

It would be quite a coup for Mikel Arteta’s Gunners to sign an established international and Champions League player at no cost.

Kurzawa made 14 appearances in Ligue 1 this season before it wrapped up early. He has won 13 caps for the French national team.
