Markus Krösche confirmed Ethan Ampadu would be returning to Chelsea, but Schick and Angelino could remain.
“We want to find a solution for Schick and Angelino,” said Krösche. “We won’t be able to pay the fees included in the loan deals.”
However, the club believe they can land the pair at discounted prices.
Schick’s agent is certain that the Czech striker will go for less than the €29m fee and said there have been ‘intensive talks’.
Meanwhile, SPORT BILD states that the Germans hope that Man City left-back Angelino can arrive for half the agreed price.
Angelino, who only returned to the Etihad from PSV Eindhoven last year, is up for sale again. Coach Julian Nagelsmann has been impressed by the 23-year-old, who is his ‘dream player’ for the left side.
RB are also looking for a similar player for the right side, with Benjamin Henrichs of Monaco and Newcastle’s Valentino Lazaro recent candidates.
