Barcelona are already preparing for next season and plan to bring back a player they sold just one month ago.
Barcelona were powerless to stop the sale – but could get 21-year-old Cucurella back for a reasonable figure.
The Catalans plan to offer €15m for the La Masia product, an offer that Getafe would likely accept, Marca reports.
Considering they sold Cucurella last month, Barcelona would really be paying €9m if the €6m they received is discounted.
Junior Firpo has been a major disappointment since his €15m move from Real Betis last August and could be sold already. Cucurella would replace the Spain under-21 player, adding another homegrown player to the Barcelona ranks.
Cucurella criticised Barça earlier this year for no longer giving young players enough chances, but this turn of events could see him get the opportunity he wanted.
