PSG look to extend Mauro Icardi loan spell

Paris Saint-Germain want to extend Mauro Icardi‘s loan spell from Inter, according to L’Equipe.

The Ligue 1 champions have an option to buy Icardi for €70m, but believe the Coronavirus has lowered his value.

PSG want to keep 27-year-old Icardi and the Argentine striker would welcome a longer stay.

The French club will look to reduce Icardi’s price-tag from €70m to €50m or extend his loan deal.

Inter’s preference is to cash in on Icardi, who was replaced by Romelu Lukaku at the San Siro.

Icardi had a strong debut season at Parc des Princes, scoring 20 goals in 31 appearances. His tally included an impressive 5 goals in 6 Champions League matches.

The former Inter captain has been subject to interest from Juventus and Napoli, but PSG hope to prolong his stay.
