Lorius Karius returns to Liverpool after Besiktas bust-up

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has terminated his two-year loan spell at Besiktas following a bust-up over unpaid wages.

The 26-year-old joined Besiktas on loan in 2018 and impressed, but in March 2019 he sought legal action against the Turkish club for back payment of four months’ wages which he never received.

Karius was due to return to Anfield in August, but he took to Instagram to announce he was heading back to Merseyside earlier than expected.

The Belgian’s return to Liverpool is likely to be short-lived with Alisson established as the Club’s number one and Adrián proving an able deputy.
