Tottenham consider hijacking Ibrahimovic’s Milan move

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is considering a reunion with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Telegraph reports.

Ibra is close to an AC Milan return after completing a two-year stint in America with LA Galaxy.

And Mourinho is considering bringing the 38-year-old in as Harry Kane’s understudy.

Spurs have never replaced Fernando Llorente as their target man option, and such a role could suit Ibrahimovic at this stage of his career.

Mourinho signed Ibra for Manchester United in 2016, with the Swedish striker scoring 26 goals in 46 games.

The player’s agent Mino Raiola held talks with Milan on Wednesday, but Ibra’s wages could complicate his return to the San Siro.

Spurs would want to sign Ibrahimovic on a short-term deal, with the forward preferring an 18-month contract.

Mourinho’s priority is shoring up the Tottenham defence, but he could make an exception to sign Ibra.
